The London Lions are an English women's basketball team based in Barking, London that compete in the Women's British Basketball League (WBBL), the top league of British women's basketball.

History

The team became part of the London Lions in 2017, when the WBBL team Barking Abbey Crusaders and men's professional team London Lions formed a partnership. The Lions won their first piece of silverware, the 2020-21 WBBL Trophy, defeating Nottingham Wildcats 96-64 in the final in Worcester.

In 2024, the Lions reached the 2023–24 EuroCup Women final, the first British team to do so, following a streak of 14 victories. On 10 April 2024, the Lions won their second leg against Beşiktaş and won the EuroCup title.

BA London Lions kvinner er et profesjonelt basketballlag basert i London, England. Laget ble grunnlagt i 1993 som Barking Abbey Women og har spilt i Women's British Basketball League (WBBL) siden 1998.

London Lions kvinner har vunnet syv WBBL-mesterskap, det siste i 2021. De har også vunnet fire WBBL Cup-titler og to WBBL Trophy-titler.

Laget består for det meste av britiske spillere, med noen internasjonale spillere fra land som USA, Canada og Australia.

Hovedtreneren for London Lions kvinner er Mark Clark, som har vært med laget siden 2016.

Lagets hjemmebane er Copper Box Arena i Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park i London.
